I suppose it’s fine on small scale if you are careful, but I think the old adage about absolute power holds true here.
The Do lectures are all about getting a handful of speakers together in one place, in the hope that they may inspire you to go Do something. To give you the tools and the desire to change the things you care about.
This really sickens my stomach. Is this the price of progress or the result of developer greed and apathy towards anything but the £££? It reminds me of the issue closer to home, that of the river path at Grange Road to Tullygarley Bridge and the plight of the badgers, otters and bats (all protected species) that are going to have their habitat effected becuase a developer wantss more £millions profit.
As web technologies progress, websites and web applications are becoming more responsive, providing us with more ways and techniques to interact with the users. Form, more than ever, has been superseded by function.
